A 1946 Wheat Penny is a one-cent coin that was issued in 1946 by the United States and it contains the well known design of the Wheat Ears on the back side. It was minted immediately after the Second World War, and there were millions of such pennies. The reason why coin collectors adore 1946 Wheat Penny is due to the fact that it was a series of iconic Lincoln Wheat Penny which was issued between 1909 and 1958. Although not that uncommon, it is still a great coin to possess in any collection because of its historical background, copper structure and wonderful classic design.
