PIZZAIOLA MEAT WITH POTATOES
A recipe from my mom that reminds me of my childhood. My brother and I were crazy about it.

PIZZAIOLA MEAT WITH POTATOES
Ingredients:
4 slices of beef
1kg of potatoes
tomato sauce
1 glass of red wine
1 onion
black or white olives
sliced mozzarella
Origan
olive oil
salt and pepper
Method:
Beat the meat with the meat mallet.
Brown the onion in olive oil. Add the meat and brown it on both sides for a few minutes. Pour in the red wine.
Add the tomato puree, a little water, oregano, olives, salt and pepper.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Then cook them together with the meat for about half an hour on a low heat with the lid on. Check the cooking of the potatoes from time to time.
The cooking of the meat can vary according to its thickness and quality.
So its cooking time can vary from half an hour to two and a half hours. In the latter case, add the potatoes halfway through cooking to prevent them from breaking.
At the end of cooking, add the sliced mozzarella and let it melt with the lid off.
Serve the meat with the warm pizzaiola potatoes.
